Americana: Land of the Free

What is more Americana than a good pair of blue jeans and a classic white T-shirt? In honor of the Fourth of July, I am dedicating this post to this classic, Americana ensemble:

To take the standard outfit up a notch, I decided to style the look with a cowboy-esque aesthetic in mind. A brown suede vest (Akira) and brown, high heeled boots (Nine West) in a similar shade complement one another, and take the outfit up a notch. No Americana outfit would be complete without some turquoise jewelry!

The ripped jeans (Alloy.com) add a bit of rugged, disheveled look to the outfit, while the white, sleeveless T-shirt (Old Navy) looks clean and crisp – leaving the shirt un-tucked also lends a laid-back vibe, which I am all about.

Turquoise is probably my favorite jewelry stone (even though diamonds are supposed to be a girls best friend). The earrings and cuff bracelets, in my opinion, are a great additive to this classic, American rock outfit!

An Ode to America the Beautiful

Yesterday was filled with good eats, sunshine, time with friends and family and of course a spectacular firework show! Here’s hoping everyone had a happy, safe Fourth of July and a great weekend to follow!

Yeah…that’s what you are all about, the ‘laid back vibe’ look, that is.
Go get a guitar and pick me some tunes please!
