Shop Stella & Dot

This past friday I invited my girlfriends and family over for appetizers, drinks and the opportunity to be personally styled by Jennifer Martzolf, from Stella & Dot! I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t love a good piece of jewelry more than myself, so hosting a trunk show was a no brainer.

I met Jennifer back in July while in attendance as a guest blogger at the #SassyCityChicks Chicago event. Jennifer was one of the vendors partaking in the shopping event, and was one of the first tables I stopped by to check out. I immediately fell in love with a few pieces while browsing and talking with Jennifer. I had only heard of Stella & Dot, but had no idea they were a jewelry line, let alone a very well known brand (Katy Perry, Nina Dobrev, Julliana Hough among many others have been photographed wearing the collection).

In preparation for my trunk show, Jennifer told me to make a wish-list for the items I wanted to order using my hostess rewards. Let me tell you, the list is quite long! One of the reasons I feel so attracted to this particular jewelry line over many others is the fact that Stella & Dot has a bit of a rocker edge to a majority of their pieces. Mixed metals are a huge trend this fall – whether you’re in need of stackable bracelets or prefer a statement necklace, you won’t be disappointed in what Stella & Dot has to offer you!

I have decided to leave my trunk show open until this Friday, September 20. I wanted to share my love and passion for this new jewelry line (which 8 out of 10 women have never heard of before) to spread the word. You can browse the Stella & Dot collection online and order 24/7 without having to attend or host a show. However, I would highly recommend inviting your girlfriends over for some wine, cheese and the opportunity to enjoy a private shopping event where everyone can try on these gorgeous pieces of jewelry in person.

My Stella & Dot Wish List
I am obsessing over the items on my wish list as I patiently wait for my trunk show close date. Some of the items I anticipate purchasing in addition to the hostess benefits include:
In addition to some amazing jewelry, Stella & Dot also has some kickass purses, wallets and scarves! My picks include:
If you would like to make a purchase as part of my trunk show, follow the link below (closing date is Friday, Septemeber 20):

#ShoeCult is here!

The founders of NastyGal have released their first ever shoe collection! Shoe Cult is now available to shop world wide. From comfy flats, colorful pumps to rough and tough biker influences, the collection has something for everyone.

Cute and Comfy
Flats are easy to slip on and are a much more fashionable option rather than sneakers. A few of my favorite #ShoeCult flats that will work for now and well into fall include:

Pumped up!
There’s nothing that can make a woman feel more sexy than a good pair of heels! Check out these fabulous pumps from #ShoeCult, perfect for girls night or date night:

Bootieliscious!
There is nothing I love more during the fall than a good pair of booties! Luckily, #ShoeCult has a whole lot of bootielisious shoes to love. I am dying to add these to my fall 2013 wardrobe:

A Little Rock, A Little Roll

You know summer is in full swing when your weekends are lined up with back-to-back concerts! Trying to decide what to wear to a concert is never easy: on the one hand, it’s tempting to want to get really dressed up and throw on a pair of hot, high heels, but half way through the night your feet are gonna be complaining. On the other hand, there are some girls who (god bless them) wear booty shorts and cropped tops when they should definitely not be baring that much skin.

#OOTD: Concert Attire
Luckily, I have devised the perfect concert attire – you simply can’t go wrong with this easy-to-put-together look: Skinny jeans, a graphic print T-shirt and a cool pair of flat boots are all you need to pull yourself together for your next music adventure.

I love the way this green and black T-shirt is accented by a splash of bold, neon color! You’ll notice below that the neon fabric is used along the side panels of the shirt and on the bottom half of the back.

The distressed look of the skinny jeans makes them look worn in and adds a dose of vintage flair to the overall look. Studded ankle boots add an extra bit of edge and are oh-so rock and roll.

The loose fit of the T-shirt gives off a relaxed vibe and will keep you cool while waving your hands in the air, showing off your dance moves or crowd surfing.

Depending on the weather, you can always add on a moto-leather jacket to keep warm. On the flip side, a pair of denim shorts and a graphic print muscle tee will help keep you cool whether you’re at an outdoor concert or a crowded, indoor venue.

En Pointe

Unfortunately, this blog post has nothing to do with ballet besides the title. On the plus side, I’m going to talk about shoes, and I don’t know any girl who doesn’t love a good pair of flats or heels for that matter.

Like most women, I’ve shunned the pointed toe shoe for years, fearing my size 8.5/9 feet would look ginormous in this shoe style. Alas, something has come over me because I ended up ordering not one, not two but THREE pairs of pointed toe shoes from Piperlime.com! I have to admit, Stacy London from TLC’s “What Not to Wear” has been right all along – pointed toe shoes are HOT!

Take a look at the three styles below to see how you can go from casual to dressed up in a heartbeat with pointed toe shoes:

Neutral

Sparkle

The Best of Both Worlds

I am IN LOVE with my new pairs of shoes. I’ve already worn the Nine West flats to work a few times and I rocked the gold Steve Madden heels to the grand opening of Ulta on Halstead Street in Chicago this week.

Browsing around online, I found a few more pairs I’d like to add to my wardrobe. Here are my fabulous, pointed toe shoe picks you should add to your wardrobe as well:
