Shop Stella & Dot

This past friday I invited my girlfriends and family over for appetizers, drinks and the opportunity to be personally styled by Jennifer Martzolf, from Stella & Dot! I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t love a good piece of jewelry more than myself, so hosting a trunk show was a no brainer.

I met Jennifer back in July while in attendance as a guest blogger at the #SassyCityChicks Chicago event. Jennifer was one of the vendors partaking in the shopping event, and was one of the first tables I stopped by to check out. I immediately fell in love with a few pieces while browsing and talking with Jennifer. I had only heard of Stella & Dot, but had no idea they were a jewelry line, let alone a very well known brand (Katy Perry, Nina Dobrev, Julliana Hough among many others have been photographed wearing the collection).

In preparation for my trunk show, Jennifer told me to make a wish-list for the items I wanted to order using my hostess rewards. Let me tell you, the list is quite long! One of the reasons I feel so attracted to this particular jewelry line over many others is the fact that Stella & Dot has a bit of a rocker edge to a majority of their pieces. Mixed metals are a huge trend this fall – whether you’re in need of stackable bracelets or prefer a statement necklace, you won’t be disappointed in what Stella & Dot has to offer you!

I have decided to leave my trunk show open until this Friday, September 20. I wanted to share my love and passion for this new jewelry line (which 8 out of 10 women have never heard of before) to spread the word. You can browse the Stella & Dot collection online and order 24/7 without having to attend or host a show. However, I would highly recommend inviting your girlfriends over for some wine, cheese and the opportunity to enjoy a private shopping event where everyone can try on these gorgeous pieces of jewelry in person.

My Stella & Dot Wish List
I am obsessing over the items on my wish list as I patiently wait for my trunk show close date. Some of the items I anticipate purchasing in addition to the hostess benefits include:
In addition to some amazing jewelry, Stella & Dot also has some kickass purses, wallets and scarves! My picks include:
If you would like to make a purchase as part of my trunk show, follow the link below (closing date is Friday, Septemeber 20):

Sassy City Chicks Chi Event Recap

If you weren’t able to make it to the Sassy City Chicks shopping event yesterday at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, you missed out on some awesome opportunities! From a Kate Spade purse giveaway to massages and manicures, there was a lot to see and do throughout the private shopping event. Here’s a quick recap about some of my favorite things we were asked to blog about yesterday:

Favorite Vendors
There were close to 30 vendors at the #SassyCHI event yesterday. Some of my favorite shopping opportunities included the Stella & Dot booth, Costumier Vintage Jewelry, and Chloe & Isabel. All three booths had magnificent pieces of jewelry that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on.

Chloe & Isabel is a Chicago based online jewelry retailer. The owner offers vintage, custom pieces including earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings that have a dainty, lady-like feel to them. No two pieces are the same, with styles varying from statement necklaces to pretty pendants you can wear alone or layered together. On August 1, Chloe & Isabel will be releasing their new line, “Memoires de Paris,” so stay tuned to Black & White Affaire for an exclusive look at these new pieces!

Costumier Vintage Jewelry is an eclectic collection of vintage jewelry is a one-woman-show. Owner Terry Davis Stafford collects gently used, vintage pieces that date back to the 1950s. Some of the pieces are collected from stylists after they have been used to shoot an editorial while others are consigned. You can puruse and purchase pieces via the Costumier Facebook page. Terri is also located in Chicago, but travels throughout the states to participate in vendor events and also hosts private jewelry parties.

That arrow cuff bracelet is now mine – Thanks again Terri – I can’t wait to use it in future posts and wear it on a day-to-day basis!

Stella & Dot is one of the most well-known jewelry vendors throughout the United States, as many A-list celebrities, such as KAty Perry, Olivia Munn, Minka Kelly and Elizabeth Banks have all been photographed wearing the designs. From stackable bracelets to versatile statement necklaces you can wear multiple ways, this jewelry line gives women the opportunity to invest in one-of-a-kind pieces at an affordable price.

Spa Findings
From makeup artists and hairstylists to massages and spray tanning, Sassy City Chicks made sure that no beauty routine was left unanswered yesterday.

Hair: The lovely ladies and gentlemen from Chicago Avenue Salon and Alex Lopez Salon were offering free hair styling for guests, including custom blowouts, curl bars and braid bars.

Airbrush Tanning: Ortanic, a custom airbrush tanning company, offered demonstrations of their services during the event. Customers receive a free consultation to determine the best color for their skin so you never turn orange. The no small, no streak guarantee plus affordable pricing made me want to become a member. Ortanic has locations at four Fitness Formula Club locations throughout Chicago, including Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Oak Park and the West Loop.

Sassy City Chicks Best Dressed
Part of our blogging responsibilities included blogging about a range of topics, including whoever we thought was the best dressed at the event. I chose Shai Chung, who just happens to be the woman behind, Drunk on Shoes.

Her #OOTD was rocker chic, and something I could see myself wearing. I loved her relaxed white tank and necklaces. Her sparkly pants were a perfect fit for her petite frame, and those gorgeous gold wedges … to die for!

After a terrible mishap of a morning, I made it to the event. This dress was not the original outfit I had planned on wearing, but when my first dress ripped, I had to improvise. Luckily, I found an equally as impressive dress that was as bold and colorful as the one I had on prior.

*A big thank you to Sassy City Chicks for asking me to participate in the event. I was able to get to know a few other local blogger and network with some amazing Chicago based vendors. I can’t wait to see you again when you return to Chicago!
